    Preloading images?

Got it!!!! Ok, it was actually 2 problems... Firstly, having the preload turned on meant some pictures weren't downloading in time, whereas now that's turned off, the pictures are downloading on demand, and still nice and quickly. Secondly, for some reason I had javascript:; written in...

    Preloading images?

I've just been through and turned off the preload on all the images, and I'm still getting the same problem! Back to the drawing board I guess!

    Preloading images?

I'm just using internet explorer 6!!! I'll try turning off the preload, and see if that helps. I'll let you know!

    Preloading images?

Hi, I'm back! I've tried the progressive and it did improve the situation - now the surrounding box comes up in the right size, but the picture still doesn't load. It's as if clicking a thumbnail stops things downloading. On a slow connection, if I leave it to load everything, and then...

    Preloading images?

Thanks, I will try that! The problem seems to be that if you click an image which hasn't already downloaded, you just get the empty grey border, and the picture doesn't come up when it has finished loading, it just stays as the empty grey box. (It's happening on my 750k connection too, but...

    Preloading images?

Hi! I'm just in the process of redesigning our business website and I'm coming across a problem. I do all the digital retouching for our photographic studio, but I'm no website designer! I'm having to learn as I go along, and so far it's kind of working, but this is the problem I'm...

    Need info on drawing tablets

I'd certainly never go back to having to use a mouse. I've just upgraded my Graphire2 A6 to a Graphire3 A5, and it's fantastic. That said, if you want starting point, the Wacom Volito range are pretty good, and cheaper than the Graphire or Intuos range, and will still do what you'd need...

    hocus focus

That's a good technique Mugshot. It's one Terry Steeley reminded me of at the Adobe stand at Focus on Imaging (trade show, uk) last week. Works very well! Couple of small things to add - the setting on your high pass filter will be dependant on the resolution of the image. And if you want...

    deleting history

Then I think you need to go into the history pallette options, and untick the 'allow nonlinear history' box, and then it should start again from whatever history point you're at, overwriting previous bits you no longer want.

Problem with using automate and jpegs

Tracerfire, how are you hoping to save the files? Are you asking it to simply 'save' over the original jpegs? Or are you asking it to save to a different location with a 'save as'? Do you have a save as part of your action, or are you asking it to do that as part of the batch processing...

    Centreing Layers in PS

Sorry, I didn't make that bit clear! :\ Well done for figuring it out! :righton:

    Centreing Layers in PS

I know, it is rather frustrating! The way round it I came up with was something along these lines... Select background layer (can't remember if you have to make it layer 0 instead of a locked layer for this to work). Link the layer you want centred. Go to Layer menu - align centred...
