I used Adobe Bridge as a....

Thanks, Paul. That was not it (Essentials was selected), but you gave me a good push. I did find the problem. In 'View' ... then 'Sort' ...I somehow had have both 'Ascending order' and 'Date Created' selected. By de-selecting 'Ascending Order' it took me back to where the very latest is...

I used Adobe Bridge as a....

'bridge' to my files. I find an image - click-click - it opens in Pshp. Then one day all the most recent imports into Bridge got placed at the bottom?! Woah...! I look in preferences and elsewhere, finding no way to reverse this. Perhaps you know of one. Big thanks. Jim

Oppps?! I lost separate working windows...

I almost always had two Pshp windows going so I could Drag-n-Drop layers that were already made into a new window. Somehow, I have a single window with both full pages treated as layers and I cannot do my D-n-D. When I make 'new' ...I simply get a third layer next to the other two. I can...

Output for a typical, printed magazine.

Well said Tom. Time of day is important as you say. I don't always have the luxury of staging during the Golden Hour. No workie - No eatie. The original background was a tin hangar. I have a ton of 'skies' that I clip from place like this while checking the surf...

Output for a typical, printed magazine.

Wow.. thanks Tom. Where to start... I've made these ads for years on a variety of Macs. I still keep PSH2 and 3 on other iMacs and Powerbook.. CS5 on this one; a 2010, iMac 27". I calibrate the screen to Gamma 2.2 at 1920 x 1080, etc. But, I am a superficial user. I am someone who can...

Output for a typical, printed magazine.

I make ads for trade magazines I advertise in. I simply make them ...and send them on as a .jpg ..or a couple of years ago as Pshp EPS files. They seem to work Ok, but is there some trick I may be missing to make them really Pop? Thanks. Jim

Whats the best Dimensions For Webpage Design?

I have used 1024x768 for almost everything... I save the files as .jpg of about 500k. Then arrange them in Dreamweaver. No complaints for the last number of years... I even use the size for images in my Ebay listings.. Example: item 130711247054 "..when you go to save for web devices...

Dumb problem.. I cannot pull a layer onto new image?

Oh man! 'Float all in windows' - Bravo! I also un-checked 'Open documents as tabs'. Thanks all.. There would be No Way that I could have done this alone. Cheers.. and thanks. Jim

Dumb problem.. I cannot pull a layer onto new image?

I used to be able to have a number of Pshp windows on my desktop and simply drag layers of one onto another or a new 'page'. Now what I have is a side-by-side, series of windows within a gray box with a link bar at the top. When #2 is open.. #1 is closed, etc. I cannot find a way to do it the...

Within 'Image/Adjustment/'.. why should I use Levels on photos?

I look at 'Levels', and tweak the sliders .. but end up 80% of the time with 'Shadows/Highlights' to pull out the image. I make things using a lot of black, so I have these deep shadows.. I keep thinking I must be making a mistake -because all the books I have had always seem to put the...

Web design: Your Comments are Invaluabe

I agree with Barrett.. decent buttons were available for free dnld a decade ago. Not too cutesy tho'... And make the headline type more interesting. I don't even think you need '.com' anymore. It is almost like listening to people on the radio say; "www...bla-bla-bla" The little...
