Adding a gradient to a curve.

IamSam - no worries, its all about experimenting/playing in PS, and to be honest, this thread helped me figure out how I would do it/communicate it properly! Good teamwork on this one, but if you or anyone else has ideas in the future I'd love to know, otherwise, it could be an interesting...

Adding a gradient to a curve.

Actually what I just tested - once you create the layer style on its separate layer (by right clicking "create layer") all I did was transform the object larger and rotate it. Because it is on its own layer and clipped to your shape, you can manipulate this to your heart's content.

Adding a gradient to a curve.

I do see your point...I'm going back to the drawing board to see what alternatives I can think up....the easiest would just be, once it's on its separate layer to use a layer soft brush and layer mask to paint it in, but it wouldn't be consistent/systematic...

Adding a gradient to a curve.

In that instance I would right click on the layer style and render the layer by clicking "create layer" - that will separate the inner shadow to its own layer and you can then apply a layer mask to it with a tapered gradient

Adding a gradient to a curve.

The way I would tackle this is to make a new shape with the pen tool and then using layer styles (by double clicking on the layer) use an 'inner shadow' style and set your parameters as you need

White to Black with one Layer!

In this Adobe Photoshop Tutorial we are going to take a white t-shirt and turn it black. Sounds hard right, well, it's easy and can be done with one layer if you play your cards right. The first thing that is massively important is to make sure your image is high quality - if the image you are...

False Color Infrared Effect w/o the Expensive Gear

Hey guys, I put out this video a few weeks ago, but I thought it was a fun one that I wanted to share. I've always loved shooting IR photography, but not only is it expensive but also I would run into technical difficulties in the form of hot spots, focus issues, etc. I hope this is of value to...

Post Processing Medium Format Film Color Toning?

I'm not sure if this is allowed - but I just dropped a video this past week on how to reverse color grade images in photoshop...I think this may apply to what you want to achieve... The steps: Step 1 - Degrade your source image with curves adj layer Step 2 - Duplicate that curves layer with...

    Image overlays

The way I would approach this is to use the pen tool to make a path around whatever you want to outline. Once the path is complete you could then stroke the path or fill the path.

    Grouping Selections

I'm not sure I'm fully comprehending your question, but for what its worth, you can go to the "Select" Menu and then to "Save Selection" and to my knowledge, you can save as many selections that you want. Then if you open your channels window, all your selections should be saved there and look...
