    Seeking some Christmas Help

Neatimage is a good program, I used it for years. At some point the version I owned became incompatible with (I think) Windows 64bit. I never upgraded and eventual bought Topaz DeNoise.

New! Gray-scale to Color- Depression era farmer

I like the color Larry but it's just a bit flat for me. If you open Curves you'll see no data in the the beginning of the shadow area. If you slide the lower left slider over to where you have data you ad contrast and darken the image.. I'm not sure that's clear, here's a screen shot of the...

Here's the image. This image needs a lot more editing but the colors should be pretty close. I did no additional editing other than what I explained above.

One thing you can try is using Image|Adjustments|Threshold slide it one way to find the darkest part of the image and mark it with a Shift and Left Click on the mouse (Windows) Do the same thing the other way and find the brightest part of the image then Shift Left Click. Open Curves and in Red...

Me either but an action would only run FFT and pause, to allow you to manually adjust the channel, then finish up the requited steps by restarting the action. You're still manually processing it.

I think the Toms answered your question. I didn't see that as grain.

    Grain in pic.

If you're shooting in Adobe RGB and converting to JPG and selecting sRGB color space in Save to Web, you are saving to a smaller color space and will loose come colors. BTW, love the photo, color and lighting. Not sure what you mean about "Grain in Pic" Your post was about lost colors.

    HDR Protocol ?

I've only done a few HDR's mostly out of curiosity but HDR's bypasses ACR at least when done through Bridge (if I remember correctly). As to reopening a single layer in ACR I think you need to be using PSCC. I'm using PSCS6 and I don't see that option.

    HDR Protocol ?

There's nothing wrong with saving it as a PSD but you can't open a PSD in ACR You need to Save As and select Tiff. You also need to discard the layers to open in ACR

    HDR Protocol ?

What's the file extension. If it's a merged image it;s no longer a RAW image. If it's a TIFF or a JPG it can be opened in bridge but it needs to be enabled. In Bridge go to Edit|Camera Raw Preferences and enable those file types. Or are we talking about something else?
