Which effect is the one used in this image?

Sorry, must be the office browser....Now I see it, I google image searched it..... No PS involved... These intense photographs by German artist Lisa Stroeher feel so powerful and otherworldly. Each glowing portrait features colorful, neon, paint-splattered model Esther under exaggerated...

Removing a stuck lens filter (was: Death of a lens)

Just saw this and will comment on a couple of tricks I used daily repairing lenses. 1. Impact is the most common problem, a UV filter in front will save the ring on the lens. I prefer a metal hood ...either provides cheap protection 2. You can use those tools shown above, or find an...

How can i copy this lighting effect? (Pic attached)

As the norm, Tom is spot on. Your lighting setup before pushing the button has to be correct. Many hours are spent learning lighting and shadow positioning. Multiple lights, reflectors and scrims can be used.If you want to learn lighting, find a quality seminar taught by a working pro. My buddy...

Finding neutral grey for color correction, without a grey card.

Excellent answer, to pick a bit more, many times (correcting old faded colors) finding the black point , then the white point, never finding neutral grey...most images are well balanced with 2 of three points found.

need help on correct skin tone

Start with a levels adjustment, look over to the left side and see the 3 brushes, Black Grey, White....Use these on the image first, practice !! once you get the balances correct, then you can start playing. Toms advice is spot on, many hours can be spent, but only trust a calibrated monitor.

    Red eye removal

are you using any white or silver reflectors off to the sides? If you can get a larger area of fill coverage you will most likely solve that

new challenge for me (remove stain)

The last thing is to change the "blend mode"...Look at the top of your layers..I used a color image here, so i didnt go yellow....the yellow in the color blend mode will give you close to a creme tint with a B&W image

    Red eye removal

Since your shooting My first thought is to not get that effect if its caused by lighting. I know that simply moving the angle between my lighting source(s) and lens axis will eliminate most red eye. Are you using macro and ringlight or a separate softbox setup ? As far as the image above, mask...

Wekcome to PSG..! If you want an image ripped apart, and praised you are in the correct forum. As Paul mentioned the show board...I will also note if you post in General, we will see it. How to remove this stain

Welcome to PSG John. Restoration of old photos is an art, a lot of work, not always easy to do or explain. I will link you to a group that does this, and if you go to their forum, you will get lots of advice. A lot of large egos there, BUT a great resource. http://www.operationphotorescue.org/
