    Thats odd that there is no background layer. There are many ways to cut an image out of a picture. The pen tool is what I recommend. Try googling a tutorial for pen tool.

    You should be able to turn the eye off the layer for the background. That should do it. Hopefully you haven't purchased a jacked copy of this layout.

    Welcome in Dracven, you have come to the right place to learn new tricks. That CS5 can be intimidating but be patient with yourself and don't overwhelm yourself or you will burn out on it. Take one step at a time.

    OK, so if this thread starts up again, we need a few basic rules. I ran a thread just like this on my forum. It's good to have a few picture going at the same time, so if there is a lot of people interested, there is enough to go around. :mrgreen:

    "Index" Image

    Well JoeDirt, if your using a PC, you can open the image in Paint and then do a save as and change the extension to JPG. If your using a MAC like I am, you can open the image in preview and change the extension to JPG.

    This is correct, I have an Orb-session and I have many many tuts. Youtube is another good resource.
