    I am a little bit confused as to what you are trying to accomplish. Are you wanting to learn how FTP works and how files are stored on a web server, or do you need help with coding a sideshow into a web page? Or maybe something else I missed...

    I agree, it would look better without the background in the car pic. It also needs some shadows on the car where it is behind the paper.

    OS choice is really up to whatever you are comfortable with using... it's not going to make much difference for Photoshop related work. There is a considerable price difference though. You can get a lot more power and speed for your buck with Windows than you can with Mac.

    It all comes down to your budget. Get the best computer you can buy within your budget. A desktop is always going to be less expensive and more powerful than a laptop, plus it will have a lot more upgrade options. I would only get a laptop if you NEED it to be mobile. As for Photoshop...

    Probably just tone mapping and not actual HDR photography. Here's Steve's after with a bit of tone mapping. I'm sure with a bit more time it could look more like the effect you are after:

    Can you explain what exactly you are trying to achieve? You can post images here instead of links, it's easier for us to see what you are talking about.

    Those are too big.... they need to be 16x16 and you need to save them as .ico format and then FTP them to the root directory of your site.

    Better way to change color than with the bucket?

    Theres several ways to do it, one way is Select --> Color Range and then use the eye dropper to select the yellow/orange. New layer and fill with white.
