When exporting from Illustrator to photoshop traced image looks different. Help!!

This is all well and good, but is not the solution to the problem is this case. The document has a traced image clipped to it. The areas indicated in my attachment have a lighter shade of black in them. Note that this is displayed with Black Appearance set to Accurate..not Rich Black. To make...

Illustrator Request for direction, not directions. : )

Are you already using Illustrator? You need Adobe Illustrator and a fairly basic knowledge of making shapes. To point you somewhere and tell you specifically this will do the job would be incorrect. For $25 you can sign up with lynda.com and you can learn the skills you need to do most all of...

How do I make the green plate text more clear and visible in photoshop?

Let me ask..what is it supposed to say? Would it not be just the Chinese characters that correspond to 145?

When exporting from Illustrator to photoshop traced image looks different. Help!!

So, it's not my monitor. It has to do with the way the OP has things setup. Now, I didn't use a PDF though as he did. I exported it as a PSD, Ai handles black differently than PS. I don't know why he was saving to PDF just to bring in to PS ??? (Not to mention I don't see as well as I used to...

How do I make the green plate text more clear and visible in photoshop?

I understand that. I don't think it can be made clear enough to make out those characters due to the original resolution.

How do I make the green plate text more clear and visible in photoshop?

The problem here is that the image is 2.5" x 1.7" at 96ppi. The detail for the sign is practically nil. I used Genuine Fractals to re-produce this at double the size and 300ppi and you still don't have readable. I'm afraid your fighting a losing battle.

When exporting from Illustrator to photoshop traced image looks different. Help!!

Tell me what you see now. I changed my CMYK working space to the same as the document. Then, the Proof Setup to just the black plate. When I switch to the black plate, I can see a very visible shift to darker. Here is a screenshot of that. This leads me to believe that the OP has some kind of...

When exporting from Illustrator to photoshop traced image looks different. Help!!

Yes, Tom. Unfortunately financial challenges do not allow for purchase of a $1500.00 NEC monitor (as much as I would love one). I am going to try and upgrade from this one anyway. The work I do is not that color critical so it's not high on my priority list like things like food, drugs, gasoline...

When exporting from Illustrator to photoshop traced image looks different. Help!!

Tom and Tom, I calibrated this monitor yesterday afternoon. I won't debate the issue but if I have a problem I need to know it. MrT, do me a favor and mark these files up indicating where this big difference is and show the histogram on your markup. I do have a different monitor from the one I...

When exporting from Illustrator to photoshop traced image looks different. Help!!

Maybe it's my failing eyesight but I simply don't see much difference. However, I made this comparison. I used your expanded Ai file and Exported it to a PSD (not a PDF). I used 300ppi as the resolution, exported flat without retaining the layers, turned OFF anti-alias and I got these two...

    Strange black screen

A better question might be what operating system- what version of Windows or MacOS? I doubt the GPU (Graphics Processing Unit) is going to be of much consequence unless you are working in 3D and I don't think you would be as your on CS2. What are the specs on your computer?

    Strange black screen

Hi ps Sounds like a computer issue more than a PS issue. I don't recall ever having that occur. How much memory do you have? How much are you allowing PS to use?

I want to cut a part from an image with Quick selection tools

1,With the Magic Want tool set to a tolerance of 10, click in the blue area you don't want. (if you want to verify what the tool has selected, enter Q for Quickmask and the area selected will then be reddish, You can fine tune the selection if necessary by painting with black to add or white to...

Moving an 'object' in an image?

    1. Convert to RGB color mode 2. With Quick Selection tool -select the crow. 3, With the Content Aware Move tool (located in the Healing Brush dropdown) move the crow. (be sure it's set to move and not extend) 4. PS will attempt to fill in the crow shape from where you moved it.In the case of...

    Retouch images or fake?

Why would it make any sense to create something like this in Photoshop ? Anyone selling a ring that had been created in such a manner would then have to have a jewelry maker replicate it from the image. I don't think it works that way, it's the other way around. A jewelry maker sits down and...

When exporting from Illustrator to photoshop traced image looks different. Help!!

Have you tried Expand Appearance in Ai and then do the save as PDF or export to PDF? What happens if you just copy it to the clipboard and then paste into Photoshop as pixels? Remember, too, that your taking vector content and converting it to bitmap content. I don't think it's possible to...

    Switching out a color

I see you got it done using Mr Tom's method which was good. If your interested in the magic wand operation here is some further explanation. But based on what you did, the original method would have worked to select ALL red of the pixel values had it been applied correctly. Let's try again. In...
