    3D 3D animation

I didn't know that - that makes things pretty easy then! And yes, I was referring to the warp feature, not liquify. I'll see if I can get some animations up here this weekend.

    3D 3D animation

Good stuff, Gare. I particularly like the infiniti animation. The second one would probably be easier to do with CS2's warp feature now, huh? I'll see if I can't come up with some interesting stuff in combo. Most of my animations are just in PS/IR - I don't do a lot with 3d into animations.

    Image flattening problems

Richard, I know you figured a way around it, but earlier today it occurred to me that I forgot to mention one thing to try: Make sure when you are flattening, you are viewing the image at 100% (Actual size). Otherwise, anything you see on screen is an approximation, and can make it look like...

    Porsche!

Actually, it does, and much, much more. The "Live Trace" feature is amazing... But that's off topic. *sorry*

    Enlargement question

It's 99% hollywood. There is software out there that will do a decent job of enlarging images, such as Genuine Fractals (and others), but they can't create detail that isn't there, like they do on "CSI." I have read some info on software that can actually take MULTIPLE frames of video, and...

Cool. Glad you got it working, your results look great.

    Image flattening problems

Hmmm... I bet you are in CMYK mode. If so, convert to RGB, then flatten. But, even then you may end up with some changes in the conversion process - the only way to really avoid that is to start in RGB. (edit: ehh... never mind... I may be way off with that now that I've tested it a bit.)...

    recreate this effect

Before you start duplicating the layers, you should have only one layer (the "Background" one) so there should be no need to flatten it at that point. At the point in the tutorial where I say to flatten the image, you should have 4 layers. This is after you've done all the duplicating and...

    I got bored...

While I like some of the textures/colors you have going on in the second one, Moth is right about the jaggies in it. The same goes for the first one as well. You are scaling up really small icons that should either be scaled up using the "Nearest Neighbor" method of interpolation, or not...

    WYSIWYG with Color Profiles

Yep. Especially if you are saving out for the Web. In that case, make sure you are using a sRGB profile to create your artwork, (Edit-Color Settings, and the for RGB, set it to "sRGB IED61966-2.1") and then use Save for Web (or ImageReady) to export that artwork out. If you were saving for...

    Seperate Those Colors

To explain my comment, Evil - if someone wants to actually do that work for you, that is entirely their perogative. However, if you don't gain the experience of doing it yourself, you'll never expand your skills - and I kind of think the idea of forums like these are to learn, not to have...

Thanks, Welles. I appreciate the compliment. I visit here often. I recently decided the site is just too nice to not post - so I'm going to try to post more than 3 times a year.

    Seperate Those Colors

Will people actually do this for you around here?!? I really hope not. As to how to do it, it's pretty tricky. First off, make sure it's legal to use their logo. I wouldn't be surprised if they have a lot of guidelines on correct usage. Secondly, find a better version of the logo if...

    recreate this effect

Here's the steps I took to get close, after these, it's just shrinking it down, and copying the effect to the left farther and farther. - Start with square canvas, about 1000 px wide. Fill the Background layer with black. - Across the middle of the page, draw a blue horizontal line thats...

How to get this Clip art brush?

The first way I can think of to get those lines is to use Illustrator, and stroke the lines with an art brush. That might not be feasible, however, so if you have PS7 or greater, there are some controls in the brush palette that might help you out. In the brushes palette, you can set "Shape...

    spyware in Photoshop CS???

Unfortunately, my computer at home has this service installed, but not running currently. I am very worried about this "changing the agreement" business, though. I have trust in Adobe, but this scares me.

    spyware in Photoshop CS???

ehhh... Actually, I should double check that at home. I can't find the service running on my work computer, and I don't remember seeing it at home, but we have the group license stuff at work, and that might work differently.

    spyware in Photoshop CS???

I honestly don't know what service this could be referring too. The only service that was added after I installed Creative Suite Standard on both my home and work computers was "AdobeVersionCue". (Both are XP Pro, if you're interested.) Also, I installed Zone Alarm before CS, and no such...
