    The Ken Burns Effect...in 3D

Here's an improved version of my "Taps" clip. This one plays within a picture frame on a table top...the tricky part was in the reflection. Reflections

    My new website

    Very nice website. Now all you need is some 'mood' music playing in the background. :}

    School video page....

I liked it...it just wasn't long enough! ;) I thought the lighting, camera angles and cuts were well done...oh, and the performers were great too. :} I would only suggest the video be encoded using the .wmv format for web viewing. This allows the video to start playing while still being...

    How to make it Snow???

If you have the Google toolbar installed for your browser, you can just right click over the German Forum page and choose 'translate to English'. Here's his quote on how he created the snow: schnee zeichnen, pixel f?r pixel ="pixels for pixels draw snow". Even without translation, the...

    Gif animation files

Lasa, I'm not familiar with Mac's so my input is limited to a couple of thoughts. Even with Windows running on a PC, animated gifs will only open and err, animate when opened with "Windows Picture and Fax Viewer". However, you could email your animated gifs and they should work while...

    Favorite Summer Pictures

While not technically the best, I thought I'd post two of my favorites...for the memories they envoke if nothing else. These are old scans from the original photos. The first photo is the coast of Southern California as my parents and I were returning from a fishing trip at Santa Barbara. I...

    Smoke my dears , Smoke

The perspective of the filter end of the first image doesn't look quite right... The gold band in the second image doesn't follow the curve of the 'cigarette' like the ends properly do... Otherwise, they both look very good.

    The Ken Burns Effect...in 3D

I don't know if Ken Burns was the first to use these Effects (pan and zoom) but he certainly popularized them in his documentary, "The Civil War". Lately, I've been seeing what I would call 'perspective' pan and zoom (hey, I watch The History Channel a lot). These effects might pan but with the...

HA...rooster dinner...that's great lasa. :) Originally, I was going to have a volcano erupt in the background of Welle's avatar as the boat escapes...I like your version better. ;) Thank goodness you guys haven't picked on my avatar yet.

    Eagles Farewell 1 Tour

Did you ever wonder? Question: What does the word 'colitas' mean in the song, "Hotel California"? "On a dark desert highway, cool wind in my hair, warm smell of colitas rising up through the air." Here's one possible answer: "There was this fireworks factory just three blocks from...

    Eagles Farewell 1 Tour

I just purchased this 2 dvd set of the Eagle's "Farewell 1 Tour" concert held in Australia in 2004. If you're an Eagles fan, I highly recommend it as there are 30 songs spanning their entire career on these dvd's. To whett your appetite, here's one song from the tour. You can either click on...

    Question about video capture.

My suggestion was just an off-the-wall idea to 'batch' correct multiple images. Of course, all corrections are applied equally to all images so that needs to be taken into consideration. Most video editing software accepts .jpg, tga, png, psd images and even animated gifs that can be run through...

    Question about video capture.

moth, The only thing that comes to my mind offhand is to use a video converter program such as TMPGEnc 3.0 XPress. You could add all the individual jpg images as a new video project, run the color correction/sharpen/noise reduction filters that would make the same adjustments to all the...

    Iris

Actually, that's not bad at all. Catchlights are just a reflection of the light source so in your case, the light is from a window in front of the subject and pretty close. Remember, you're showing the entire eye up very close. Try looking at it in a more natural perspective. (pardon the...

    Iris

p?tr??k, That reflection you're trying to capture is the 'catchlight' that is what gives eyes their life. The reflection can be from a window, a lamp or a photographers flash just to mention a few. Here's a site that gives some good examples of how those catchlights appear...
