    Long exposure

Couple shots I took during my last trip home. The next trip I'll hopefully have some interesting photos, a mall I used to go to as a kid is now closed and from what I've heard it's easy to get permission to get in and snap some photos.

    Walking into the light

You could be right, I'm not very good with light and shadow yet. I'm trying to work on it as much as I can.

    Earth Nostalgia

Very nice, though I have to agree with what Paul said.

    Walking into the light

I got the inspiration for this manipulation from a tutorial I saw https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=a6I95h4dlwQ . I did make a few small tweaks to it. Links to the stock images are available in the tutorial.

    Been a while

There are a few reasons why people lower their trucks. One is cause it looks cool. Two has to do with the fact most now days have air ride suspension and air bags help with increasing hauling and tow capacity.

    Been a while

It's been a while since I posted anything so I thought I'd do that. Haven't had much time to do anything is PS lately but I've dropped in once in a while to see what's up. I'm almost done with school, I have like 2 or 3 classes left then I'm graduating. I was gonna go back and get a degree in...

    Trip home

I've heard from my Dr yesterday and it's good news. They thought that maybe my aorta tube was either enlarged or shrunk (couldn't tell from the echo) so I had a CT Scan done. The scan showed my aorta tube was the correct size. Only problem is two leaky valves which I already knew about. I'm...

Why can't everything be as fun as photography

Thanks Tom M. I'd like to return to those houses again on day and see if I can't get better pics. I have more fun when I have a camera in hand than any other time it seems like.

Why can't everything be as fun as photography

Finally got the right replacement lens for my camera. Ended up with a 28-80mm zoom lens. Recently I took my camera to a couple of abandoned houses nearby. I was only able to get into one, which was very small. The other had a fence around it with a new lock and chain. I also took my camera to...

    Captain Nemo's Car.

Nice job, my only thing is that the way the fender (or wing depends on where you are) the second set of wheels would be sticking out through the top.

    New lens

I contacted the place I got the lens from and they told me this lens was for a film camera and not a digital one and that's why it wont work. So I'm back to no lens again, though I have gotten this to work a few times.

    New lens

I finally got a new lens for my camera, got myself a SIGMA 70-210MM F/4-5.6 UC LENS FOR CANON EF MOUNT. The price was pretty good which is why I got it. But now I'm having trouble. I was told this lens would work with my camera, a Canon EOS Rebel XTi, but when I try to take a photo it tells me...

    How to improve?

One thing you can do is to have the people look like they're in the snow instead of on it. Almost looks as if the lady is floating over the snow.

    Trip home

So yesterday I was in St Louis to see a heart dr cause my heart dr here was concerned about something he saw in my last echo and wanted a second opinion. As it turns out he was right to be concerned. The echo does show I am having trouble, nothing really major. I have to go back in September for...

Removing a stuck lens filter (was: Death of a lens)

I usually just bang my head on the desk when that happens. I did pick up a new lens today (bday present for myself), a sigma 70-210mm lens. I've heard good things about Sigma lens so I thought I'd give it a try. Kind of wish I had gotten it earlier since there is a motorcycle show this weekend...
