    Thanks!! One more question for the night....why can't you pick the colors with the dropper? When I put the dropper over a color and click all I get is the red line through the color box. I tell ya, this proggie is gonna be the death of me yet!! [confused] [doh]

    I guess my thing is if I make a path then add a new layer and see I need to edit the path on the other layer, how the heck can I do that? I have tried every pshop trick I know and AI isn't going for it. Once I leave a layer the path is set in stone. [doh]

    Wow now that is a thought, trace it in ps then take it into AI. I do like the freehand pen tool in pshop. Can't seem to find one of those in AI. But I am learning as I go. Thanks so much for the link Sue. Will go there ASAP! 8} 8}

    I think I told it no stroke because it added a black line that would not go away and I don't want a black line, just the color. I am going to tackle this darn program if it kills me. Gotta have the vector for the logo as it is a lot of geometric shapes and they want smooth. Thanks for your help!!

    Yeah I am confused for sure [confused] I can make the path on a new layer with the color I want but if I try to go back to the path and edit it I can't. I tried to control click the layer and no go. I can't save the color either. If I use the color picker I get a red line through the color...

    HELP! Ok the client sends me some clipart, yuck, they want for a logo. So I think ok I can throw the jpg into AI and make the shape based on the original file. When I open the jpg in pshop it is the original size 879x854 but when I open the file in AI it is 1 inch by 1 inch in 100% screen...

    Ok I have Ill 10 and I can't for the life of me figure out how to make the color swatches show up! It shows the color panel but only in RGB, no cute little boxes like pshop. I checked the help files and I don't see where I can make this show up. Is this not an option with Ill? [confused]...

    Ok I now have PS 7. I have looked in the help files and such and I can't seem to find where I can turn off or turn on the stylus for brushes. Prob right under my nose. I know in 6 I had the tabs at the top. [confused]

    If you want the blend to be like the car, etc. then you have to change the bground color of the frame around the pic so it will match the bground of the page. :righton:

    I did the same thing when I was "with child". Read to her, played music, etc. she started school at 3 1/2 years old and is now a jr in college. She did everything early. And for those of you asking my age...NO WAY! I am really not that old! :P

    Ok trying to get my feet wet and thought I would work Gare's can exercise. Well for the life of me I cannot get the darn label on the can. I know there has to be some simple step that I am missing here [doh] [doh]
