    I am new to CS6 and the reason I switched from anything else is that I got tired of plug-ins, ready made solutions that do not do what I am looking for.     Being a photographer I can tell you that you can avoid this problem by using constant exposure and not vary it depending on the shirt color(s). Also, to avoid shadows, placing the stuff a couple of feet in front of the background would allow you to use a separate light to 'whiten' or even...

    I used some of the WEB software, just to see what they were about and came out rather puzzled as to who would really use them. GIMP is great, thanks to all the all folks involved in it.
