    I'm Curious....

How many of the Gurus have signed up for Photoshop CC? I see some nice timesaver tools on the CC version but so far nothing really earthshaking. I'm on 5.5 and will upgrade to 6.0 and there I will stay for a good long while. Doing this is a hobby for me and I don't want to commit to a monthly...

    Urgent photoshop help needed! :((

There is no way to walk you through creating a complicated image in Photoshop in the short time you have. I'm pretty good in Photoshop and it would take me days of work to create anything like a decent graphic based on your draft! How did you come to need these photoshop skills on such short...

Last one from me for a while guys.

My uncle and his dog used to haul dog food up and down the west coast for Iams. The dog ate well. My uncle not so much. Yes, that IS a true story!!! He's got tales of the road the will have you falling down laughing.

    Montage/Collage for retiring pilot

No argument on that from me, for sure. Some of the things I've been asked to do by customers really left me shaking my head.

    Montage/Collage for retiring pilot

No artistic suggestion, but the dates on it make it look like the guy died. I know you added the "Flying Career" part, but still....

I need some comments on my work =D Stuck, help me out!

I threw something together as a suggestion - you can run with it. Just added the plastic wrap filter and a little color to just the skin. You could do something like this:

How to get picture like this?

Honestly, although there may have been some minor touchup work, what you see here is mostly the result of good lighting and good photography, not Photoshop Based on the fact that there is no fly-away hair and some of the edges are fuzzed, I suspect the girl was not originally photographed in...

How Do You Make Images Like This?

It's unlikely the original image was done in Photoshop - it really looks like it was done on a heavy-duty CGI generator. If you mean the intense color, you can imitate it by first increasing the contrast until you start to see ghosting, then backing off a little. Then increase the shadow and...

    Turning white feathers black...? Help!

The best way I've found in this type of situation is to desaturate a copy and then use that to play with. In some ways this is more difficult than hair because the feathers are symmetrical. You can't decide that certain portions can be left out, like you can with hair. I might play with it a...

    Turning white feathers black...? Help!

Selecting hair/feather/fur is tough to do without losing the detail. It can be done - it just takes time. I did a quick selection myself and my results were similar to Hoogle's. However, it you isolated portions of the edge with the lasso and zoomed in you could make a good job of it, I...

Removing texture with healing brush tool

I tried this on an image myself. The only time it sampled the color of the source is when I went off the edge of the source. Since it was behind the image I was working on I didn't always notice it. Nice technique, actually, and one I had not tried before.

Removing texture with healing brush tool

Link us to the video if you can so that we can see what the problem is. I've never used that technique so I can't answer.

    Human Body/Skin work with Photoshop

First use the Spot Healing Tool to get rid of blemishes on the skin. Use Burn or Dodge tool to increase or decrease shadows (turn the opacity right down or it will look horrible). But my very favorite trick for perfect skin? After you've gotten rid of all the specific spot problems...

Editing vintage or not so vintage photos in PS (3)

Here's my crack at it. If someone (you?) wanted to take out the cracks and spots such things it could be a whole lot better. It would take a lot of time, but the result would be well worth it.

    Using a tablet/pen in PS?

I just recently started using a Wacom myself. It is a long learning curve, but I'm finding it definitely worth the effort. Using the tablet makes precision work so much easier. I do a lot of photo restoration and I honestly don't know what I did before I got it. The pressure sensitive part...

HELP how do i create this grungy/dreamy effect on visualations?

The Underpainting filter makes a layer look as if it were on a textured background. You can set the brush size, texture coverage area, and texture options. Go to Filter>Artistic>Underpainting
