    Skeletons, blurs and bevels...

Dear Tom, Thank you again for all the links and the feedback. Every time I stop by the site I learn something new. There have been things in Photoshop that I have overlooked for years and I stopped to check if the items in the subject were among them. Mathematica, ImageJ, XenoDream...

    Skeletons, blurs and bevels...

Hi Tom, Thank you for the reply. I use imageJ and Mathematica in my workflow and get things done, but as an avid Photoshop user a year after year I can't help wondering about obvious omissions in Photoshop toolset. Such things as skeletonization, voronoi, multiple selections, HSB color mode and...

    Skeletons, blurs and bevels...

    1. How to skeletonize an object (to thin a line or shape to 1 pixel width) in Photoshop? This type of operation is very basic for scientific image manipulation (imageJ and such), and I wonder if there is a way to do it in Photoshop. If you are not familiar with the term, here is a link that...

PC for Photoshop layer work with large and very large files

This is question for PC builders. I am not new to Photoshop. I am not new to PC building either. I work with rather large multilayer Photoshop files - 100 and more layers, 8 GB and above file sizes. The budget is not the issue (within reason). I simply need to know the preferred allocation of...

    Cleaning jaggy lines.Any ideas?

Good. At least I am not missing something well known.

    Cleaning jaggy lines.Any ideas?

I am not new to Photoshop, so don't be deceived by "x100 times" figure of speech. There are some creative ways to simulate enlargements to reasonably large value in some special cases (fractal textures, noise, orthogonal designs, etc), but thin, overlapping lines is not one of them. I simply can...

    Cleaning jaggy lines.Any ideas?

Thank you for the link. Unfortunately, there is not much help from that discussion either. Let me know if you find anything useful

    Cleaning jaggy lines.Any ideas?

Problem: How to enlarge (100 times) image of multiple intersecting low resolution contour lines wile avoiding pixelation? Simple answer: It can't be done. Second thoughts: Well, under some circumstances it can be done... sort of. For example if lines are orthogonal to begin with then simple...

Drag and drop multiple layers from Bridge?

Thank you again. I can certainly use many of the scripts from your site in my workflow (Picture Processor, Layer Saver, etc). I've been using PDF processor for a while already. A lot of my work involves replacement of layer / smart object content with content of image directories / pages...

Drag and drop multiple layers from Bridge?

HUGE thank you. The script even works with multiple documents selected in Adobe Bridge! This one is a time saver. Judging by your Script Master title you probably aware of other Bridge Scripts that can be useful to Photoshop users and online resources for writing, editing and sharing such...

Drag and drop multiple layers from Bridge?

When I drag and drop psd file from Bridge on open document it ends up in the document as smart object. When I drag and drop psd file from Bridge on the toolbar it opens the file with all the layers. I know that I can access the layer by double-clicking on smart object. I know that I can drag and...

Is there a way to queue batch processing?

Since you did it, then I was obviously wrong. Thank you for taking time - I will try to replicate your results. Anyway I have already written the script to process any number of sets - this two approaches should take care of my batch workflow. Thank you again. ...yep, you did it again.

Is there a way to queue batch processing?

As long as I can record File>Automate>Batch command itself 10 times then it should work. I'll have to try if it is possible... may be with "Insert Menu Item..." or something. Thank you. I have tried... I don't see how it can work, since File>Automate>Batch command is not a recordable command...
  15. Q

Is there a way to queue batch processing?

Let's say I have 10 different image sets that need to be processed with 10 different actions. Is there a way with Photoshop or LightRoom to create a processing queue and process all of them at once without any user interaction. If not, is there an alternative out there?

good suggestion - I will go there. Thank you.

Is it my issue or is it Adobe's?

Dear Gurus, For years several aspects of Photoshop annoyed me quite a bit and I have always suspected that it was my lack of understanding of the program, rather than absurdly obvious problems overlooked by Adobe... so here are some of them: Inability to change blending modes or layer...

    Antialias edges suggestions?

I've looked into some documentation on a anti-aliasing approach in fractal rendering program and apparently the algorithm used in anti-aliasing is in principle different then smoothing, blurring and median filter solutions, so the post processing in Photoshop will ALWAYS destroy information...
  19. Q

    Antialias edges suggestions?

Thank you as always... It is frequently helpful to hear suggestions of other users for pure brainstorming effect - gives me new perspective on familiar things - I'll have to revisit Minimum / Maximum filters, they may be promising in some circumstances and need to look deeper into capabilities...

    Antialias edges suggestions?

The aliasing problem (sharp edges) frequently happen with 3rd party 3d rendering software output, when the developer did not bother to include antialiasing option, so the software simply never generated any blending and edge transitions... so I am looking for some way approach the problem...
