Is there a way to queue batch processing?

Let's say I have 10 different image sets that need to be processed with 10 different actions. Is there a way with Photoshop or LightRoom to create a processing queue and process all of them at once without any user interaction. If not, is there an alternative out there?

Just make an action with 10 File->Automate->Batch commands recorded with 10 different empty folders each with its own action. Fill the folders with files and start this action. Is that what you wanted?

As long as I can record File>Automate>Batch command itself 10 times then it should work. I'll have to try if it is possible... may be with "Insert Menu Item..." or something. Thank you.

I have tried... I don't see how it can work, since File>Automate>Batch command is not a recordable command and "Insert Menu Item" will simply prompt user with Batch dialog. Of course I can run Batch dialog ten times with different settings but that would certainly require some user interaction wile action is running... Scripting should do as long as I can count files in a folder, and from what I remember it is possible... Probably a better way to do it is to access actions that runs other actions from the script, then simply change child actions as necessary...

Still I feel that it is one of multiple omissions on Adobe's part to exclude from "#1 Image Processor" the ability to queue the image processing beyond single batch... Of course, I may be just missing something...

I really don't see the problem:

1. Create 10 empty folders.
2. Start recording new action.
3. Go to File>Automate>Batch, set Source and Dest folders to first empty folder, set action to first action. Press OK.
4. Go to File>Automate>Batch, set Source and Dest folders to second empty folder, set action to second action. Press OK.
....
12. Go to File>Automate>Batch, set Source and Dest folders to tenth empty folder, set action to tenth action. Press OK.
13. Stop the recording.
14. Put your image sets to proper folders.
15. Play the action

I got PS CS5 and just did it:

File>Automate>Batch is as recordable command as any other simple command:cheesygrin:.

Since you did it, then I was obviously wrong. Thank you for taking time - I will try to replicate your results. Anyway I have already written the script to process any number of sets - this two approaches should take care of my batch workflow. Thank you again.

...yep, you did it again.
