    I know what you mean, I wasn't allowed to take any images that I worked on to use for my book. I might have to get some friends to model some shots for me if I can even get them to let me post them as my portfolio. Maybe I should try facebook, those people don't give a crap about...

    Help cutting out an image...

    Select the lasso tool and lasso around it the best you can. Then save the selection. go into channels, make sure your saved selection channel is active, and repair the edges with a soft paintbrush. Or ...you could just use the lasso, feather it to 2 pixels, or more depending on the resolution...

    In hind sight, my lighting could have been much better, someone referred to my gargoyle as needing more contrast, I think this is what he meant. Perhaps more DYNAMIC lighting, such as Burne Hogarthe teaches in his really cool book (titled"dynamic lighting" [I think] ).

    If she is a student she can get a student version of photoshop with all of the capabilities of the full version (I think all) for a very reasonable price compared to the full version. Just google student discount software. There are alot of places. Maybe an adobe cs web or graphics graphics...

    Photoshop CS4 keeps crashing!

    Re: Same Problem This might not be the answer to your problem, but I found that buying a "gameing" computer, all of the graphics software that I throw at it works great. I have an IBuypower, but I see alot of gaming computers pretty cheap on craigslist with decent graphics cards.

    I was thinking of giving it a makeover in photoshop, now that I see things that I could do better. But then again, it is what it is, maybe I will just work on something new.
