Ammar, Thank you very much for the offer. I can use all the help I can get [excited] . So far the only study materials Ive found are in the form of the Adobe Photoshop 5.0 Certification Guide, and ExamAid for PS7.

    Raster to Vector

Maybe I should try to be a tad more specific. My other hobby is Atari video games, the Jaguar in paritcular. I would like to turn some of the images from the games into posters or T-shirts, or print in general. Take my avatar for example. Can I buy a specific program to "Vectorize" these images...

Adobe Photoshop 5.0 Certification Guide (CD Problem)

Thanks so much for the help, the CD works fine now, and I'm on my way to getting Ceritified :) One of the links mentioned running the SFC, or System File Checker. I did, then rebooted, and everything works fine now. This board is priceless.

Adobe Photoshop 5.0 Certification Guide (CD Problem)

Hello, I recently purchased this book (used, but CD never opened) to study in hopes of taking/passing the ACE exam for PS7. However, when I try to run the CD, the "This program has performed an illegal operation and will be shut down" error message appears. The Details button explains...

    Color Settings Dialog Box

Ammar, Thank you for the tip, I did indeed contact the NAPP Help Desk, and this is the reply. Hopefully, this will benefit others on this board as well. "Hi Randy, Pop in the Photoshop CD and start the installer. Elect to do a Custom Install rather than an Easy Install. Check the box...

    Color Settings Dialog Box

When I clicked Advanced Mode more options did pop up under the Dialog box, but the Settings options did not change. Yes, I am talking about the Edit > Color Settings (Shft+Ctrl+K) for Windows.

    Color Settings Dialog Box

From the Abobe Photoshop 7 CIB, pp554: "Select a prepres default from the Settngs menu at the top of the dialog box (we used U.S. Prepress Defaults) and click OK." The only settings I have in PS7.0 are Custom and Other. According to my User Guide I'm suppose to have at least 8 other settings...

Adobe Photoshop for Beginners CD by Scott Kelby

I have this CD, and it is great; I have learned a few things right off the bat that I didn't using Classroom in a Book. However, there is a bad file on the CD under ESSENTIALS-Workspace, that will cause your PC to crash. I will now copy and past the response from Peter Bauer of the NAPP Help...

    Paste Into

Hello all, Altough I've owned Photoshop since version 6, I hadn't come across the Paste Into command until I used the Adobe Photoshop for Beginners CD by Scott Kelby. This is one neat command [excited]
