I like it, good job, & it does look better minus the aerial. I've been wanting to do a car chop for a long time just never get round to it.

sorry for the lack of activity lately...

I hear ya!! I'd be a lot more prolific & probably better at it, if it wasn't for Guild Wars 2. you don't wanna know my collective hours played.

    Candi - My Little Sister

All I can send are my thoughts and good wishes. I can't say I know what it's like, but I too have had about 10 ops for weak bones. I have metal in my spine & foot, but only spent about 1 year in a wheel chair. I really do hope everything gets sorted. I will add a post with link to your page...

    Repeating Pattern question

Damn, I couldn't get it to line up like that at all. Always had slightly off scales around the edge. Any tips you can share on getting it spot on :)

    Repeating Pattern question

:) That I can do. but I need it go like this, and that's where I'm falling down. EDIT: I did it by hand instead. Wasn't that bad. But it's a png texture instead of a tileable pattern now. Works the same though.

    Repeating Pattern question

I've made a scale, and I would like to make it into a repeating pattern in PS. Not sure how to go about it though. My brain tells me to place the full scales that will be in the pattern, then chop 1 of them into 4 pieces, and place around the edge to make up the repeating pattern. Like...

    Playing with Typography design

Yes, I did see that. It was difficult to get a nice looking G. I was hoping to rely on brain over vision :) But thx for the comments, makes me feel I'm heading in the right direction. Edit: Updated a mistake in bottom left, and slightly altered the G.

    Playing with Typography design

Didn't do this for any project or anything, except to just play with designing bespoke text. Always room for improvement, but I'm happy with how it turned out.

    Dot layer for an image

How is this? This is using option 1. You can lighten the overlay, but I left it darker so you can see the pattern better in the example.

Illustrator Can't work out the rotation angle

Finished the Badge I was working on. It's a gaming thing. :) Thanks again for the help everyone.

Illustrator Can't work out the rotation angle

Thx, I got the shape done. Just working on it in PS now. Aiming for a Police Badge appearance to it. :)

Illustrator Can't work out the rotation angle

Thanks hawkeye, I suspected you may have the answer. :) On one of my attempts I did do what you have described, but obviously muffed up somewhere.

Illustrator Can't work out the rotation angle

I have drawn the pattern below in Ai, in hope that it will be a segment of a circular pattern. Now, I need to rotate the pattern, so it fits another 11 times around a circle (like a clock face.) I've tried flipping a copy of it, then rotating both at various distances, and degrees of rotation...

    Dot layer for an image

Nice effect. I just used Example 1 above as posted by Tom Mann. Got excellent results. I shall be noting this one down. (I have to or I'll forget :) ) When the filter is applied to a solid pale gray layer, the dots are created in the current Foreground Colors. So if you want black, make...

Don't let Studio Universal see that picture. They'll make a cheese movie about it. Love the image though.

    Layer Styles (for text)

I enjoy making layer styles, and experimenting to see what I can come up with. These are my latest 2, & as I make quite a few I thought I should put them all in one thread. Enjoy. Feel free to use for whatever you want, Edit them to your hearts content, as long as they are put to use, :)...
