    Working on a new Illustration

My main use of Ai, (before I started branching out to Photoshop to widen my horizons), was to make 2D illustrations on a template to make 3D paper models. I haven't done a lot recently as other projects & basically learning Photoshop has taken up my time. With Halloween approaching, I thought...

How was this created? (Gold Beveled)

The style tutorials above are a good place to start. I agree they aren't as complex as the album cover, but I severely doubt you will find a tutorial on how to make that. They are still PS Styles, and styles are only as complex as you make them. Try the tuts, learn what each of the settings...

    First Successful Client... BUT

It is good practice to do so, as it can stop unscrupulous designers re-selling the same logo. There may be occasions where it is not required, but the main use is a safeguard for the client. See this link

What year did you get your first computer?

My 1st was a Sinclair ZX Spectrum in the early 80's. I remember thinking about some of the latter end games of that genre, "Wow, the graphics are just so realistic." we we're soo easily pleased back then. My 1st PC in 1997 had 4gb of hard drive, & 32mb of Ram, and that was a lot in those days. :)

    Joint Venture Jaguar-Morgan Cars

Awesome hybrid, nice work. I'd like a Buggati Veyron, but I'm stuck with a Hyundai i30, sigh.

How can i get such tipe of photo

The most noticeable thing to me about the OP photo's, isn't the HDR or similar fx, it's the elongated perspective. I'm guessing that's a lens thing & not post processing?

    Comedy Central Logo

If you experiment with the shape building tools, you can achieve that quite easily. It's a case of drawing the circles, & using the different options to remove the centre, & the section of the loop. You will be left with the C shown above. The smaller one is exactly the same. Don't just...

Want to even out skin tone

Thx for the input. I will improve over time, although this is my favourite so far that I've done. It's a case of experimenting & trying all the techniques & tweaks.

Want to even out skin tone

Final Image. Like I said, it wasn't for anything but fun & experience, and I picked up a couple of tips along the way. I'm still in single figures on the amount of manips I've actually done so.. early days.

Want to even out skin tone

Thx Tom, I like it. The 2nd image you posted certainly looks a lot like what I would be after. My goal was to give the image a post apocalyptic feel to it, as the original is too soft & fluffy for me. Although I do like the overall look I got, the skin became a bit too blotchy. I wasn't sure...

Want to even out skin tone

I'm out of my comfort zone when it comes to manipulations, but I'm busy experimenting to try & improve. I added an open skin flap to the forehead on this image, but the skin tone is very uneven after adding some effects. What would be the best way. I have tried masking the face & blurring...

    Post-it Note

Thx for the comments. @Tom Mann - I tried a few times to get a natural looking cork, but in the end I plumped for this simpler "synthetic" one, for the main reason of tiling. The seam isn't noticeable when you apply the pattern to a large area. I do like what you achieved though, I agree it's...

How to Insert or put an Image into an Ellipse and Hide Overflowing Parts?

I would try placing the photo on a layer above the circle/ellipse shape, then right click on the layer & select Create Clipping Mask. You can move the photo around once this is done to get the content inside the shape you like best.

    Post-it Note

Ok, I used 0.3 gaussian blur on the Corkboard, & created a new pin from scratch. This time I lowered the opacity on each section of the pin, & ran a plastic wrap on it.

    Post-it Note

Completely agree on the Cork bg. It was worse than that to start with. I added a White bg behind it & blended to try & soften but that's all I tried. I would like to soften it more though, not sure what else I can do.

    Post-it Note

Tried my hand at a Post-it Note. This is actual size. Used "Add noise" to create the cork bg.
