    the transparency grid changes to show increase in zoom size but the white grid like lines you see are your pixels. just star using the pencil and you will see where your pixels are. hope this helps.

    for checking web colors click on the color pallet (the one on left foreground and BG color boxes. If this doesnt work then you might wanna try trashing your prefs and in case that doesnt work either then try uninstalling and reinstalling. EDIT: BTW why is your layer icon green in the layers pallet.

    this seems unlikely but is by any chance the web colors only box is checked. try checking the dither option. i dont see any difference at my PC (with or without dither) but maybe it might help you.

    are you looking for something like this, but there is a small problem you will get a white border around the logo, i am working on it though EDIT: You would have to look closely to see the black border

    Hmmm.....from what i have read on the internet, PS7 and windows vista/7 have some confliction which can be solved by updating PS7 here is the link and its free http://www.adobe.com/support/downloads/detail.jsp?ftpID=1851 hope this solves your problem.
