    thats not quite what i want.. i dont want any color involved... i want the part that is faded out, to be able to be seen through to the football field

    How can i fade out a layer? For instance if i have a football player standing on a football field, i want the bottom of him to start fading out at his legs, then his feet be almost invisible, but i want you to be able to see the field underneath him. Thanks!

    I was messing with a photo of mt. rushmore, and putting faces of my friends on it. I have no problems matching the color, but how can i get the faces to look a little more like they are carved out of stone? Are there any filters that will achieve this effect? How would I go about doing this...

    Great... thanks again welles... One thing, how do i change the hardness of my brush? and what opacity do you suggest using? i know you said "low" but how low? I know how to change the brush sets and whatnot, but havent quite figured out where the hardness attribute is Thanks

    This was my very first photoshop project that i did about 5 or 6 months ago... My question in general though is, whats the best way to do a color change? i usually just select the entire body, and change the color balance, but i know there is a better way to make it look more realistic...
