    The updated version's really good :) Here's what I'd change; I'd add a reflection for the girl, blur the edges of the smoke coming out the volcano and maybe vary the opacity of the stars.

    How to update a duplicated layer to its original layer?

    I've not heard of layer auto updating but it wold be pretty cool if someone knows if you can do it. What you could do is set the opacity to about 10% then you can see what you're painting but it wont obscure the other layers too much. Just had another idea! Duplicate the picture your painting...

    It's called alone on beach but he's on a dock :p Anyway, about the picture. I'd get rid of the outer glow on the text, it looks a bit tacky. I'd add a stoke or leave it plain. The text going down the side is kind of hard to read. I'd place it along the bottom of the screen maybe. Last thing...

    Pen tool! Easiest way is to stretch that image then trace over it with the pen tool: That took about 20 seconds :) Oh yeah, if you don't know how to fill it, click on paths (next to the layers and channels windows) then right click the path > fill path.

    Basicly I just added a bevel effect. Right click the layer > Blending options, then click bevel and emboss. The setting's will vary depending on the size of the image. Mine was 200x200 and my settings were: inner bevel, smooth, depth:1000, direction:up, size:5, soften:16, highlight opacity:100...

    The reflection's a bit off. For the car it goes away from the screen and for the text it goes towards it.

    Thanks for the messages guys. Vetoed, yeah I agree the sky's a bit crap. It looked better the first time I did it, before I decided to make a tutorial and I got a bit lazy and just settled but I did say in the video how to do it so you could easily make a better sky using the same method.
