Hello all,

New to photoshop, graphics isn't my forte!

I want to create some small forum award images, similar to the one green one below. What i'd like to do is setup a template or collections of layers? so I only need to change the colours.

What i'm struggling to to at present is get the clean bevelled look as below, and that little show appearance.

Any help and/or guidance appreciated very much.

Thanks

Aerobat

I can't see anything in your attached image except a very small green box and yellow stripe.

If you want to change the color of the image, open in photoshop, go to Image>Adjustments>Hue/Saturation and play with the sliders until you get what you want. Then "Save As" and save it in whatever format your software wants it in. You can save successive versions of it in different colors.

That green image is what i'm trying to do, i'll try the hue and saturation as you suggest, what i'd like to learn is how to add that neat but barely viewable bevel look and top right looks like a glint of light image (you may have to zoom in!)

Thanks

Merge all layers (Make sure you save a copy first!)

Then just add bevel and emboss layer style... seeing that pic, you would have to mess with the three sliders (forgot their names, but, reduce the spread, increase blur (IDK what it was called))

Then just lower the opacity of white and black to around 40%

That should do the trick..

For the texture, find an image of a texture and set to overlay.

It hard to see cause the pictures so small so I tried to recreate it. If this is what you want then I'll explain how to do it.

Basicly I just added a bevel effect. Right click the layer > Blending options, then click bevel and emboss. The setting's will vary depending on the size of the image. Mine was 200x200 and my settings were: inner bevel, smooth, depth:1000, direction:up, size:5, soften:16, highlight opacity:100 and shadow opacity:60. I created the other colours in a new layer and used the same settings (you can right click a layer then copy and paste layer styles to save time).

Let me know if you need more help :)
