    Need help updating/changing logo

No, they are maybe in the artistic, texture or another filter sub menu. Docilebob has maybe hit the correct one! I guess that you mean layer styles dialog box? if they were patterns, I'd have use the term, erm... pattern. But they might be worth exploring too! :) I think that after using the...

    Work Area Problems in CS2

If your document is A4, you'll print an A4. Zooming changes the on-screen representation of the image, but resolution is a factor. Also be aware that it is extremely difficult to get a "print size" zoom ratio that matches reality (there are different sizes of monitor, etc.) What is the...

    Need help updating/changing logo

Welcome to PsG Ouch... recreating another "logo" from scratch might be a good idea. (I put logo between quotes as this could not be qualified as a logo: usually, logos are clean vector images, scalable, that can work in black and white; in this case we have a pixellised text, with a small...

    Work Area Problems in CS2

Hello, Steve, Welcome to PsG! Photoshop is color managed, some other applications are not. You can read a lot of good info on the topic at Computer-darkroom.com (read the tutorials section) If you export for the web, converting the image to sRGB will help. If your only output is the...

    Apply Gradient to Type

I guess that I should not be proud of the comparizon... Sorry, if I came as being that confrontational or maybe arrogant... I genuinely thought that with the proper terminology, the answer can easily be found. I do not say this in an know-it all mindset, but because I believe that...

    Creating a realistic Seascape.

Excellent advices, Lily, especially #1. Observation is often underrated, but it is a key parameter in the success of a piece.

    C&C on Retouching

Very good work! What kind of retouching were you after? magazine cover, or just simple corrections of small skin problems, etc ? If it is the former, it is a very good job. For the latter, I'd have kept some texture under the eyes. I like the subtle work on the air, and the color of the skin.

    Apply Gradient to Type

    > for those who don't know, how do you add a layer style? When the exact terminology is stated, maybe the help file would give relevant results... ;) But indeed, it is easier to grok with a screenshot.

    Batch Image Processing?

Normally, an action could automate those steps, the only problem I see would be the difference in lenght for the images, and knowing what would be the maximum size

    Automating a few things?

Glass / Plastic / New Generation Effects

You should search for "glass effects" there are some on the PhotoshopGurus website. Basically, create a custom shape, fill with white, lower the opacity, and add a gradient mask.

    Color Problem

Hi, Cindy! Is the file a CYMK or RGB one in Photoshop? Ditto with the color profile, as Mindbender states. Did you compare your color settings in Photoshop and Illustrator? If you are using the whole Creative Suite, the color settings should be synchronized.

Colors - Light in PS CS, Dark everywhere else! Grrr! >_<

Welcome to PSG! Color management is your problem. I recommand reading articles about color settings and color management on www.computer-darkroom.com The difference of color for the web is due to the use of Adobe RGB instead of converting to sRGB before using save for web. This is because the...

    Help printing process separations

Screen printable, you mean Silkscreening? You might want to apply a halftone screen yourself, using the filters, or the conversion to black and white on each channel.
