    Thanks ibclare... I keep referring to background with quotation marks because once I created it I changed it's name to Layer 0 and it has no lock, and the image of my kid is Layer 1...there is no background layer to be unlocked. The increased canvas is transparent already, and it doesn't...

    Thanks Mike...... But IDad helped me do the effect I wanted, by adding canvas to my "background" image which is just a green image... Now the only thing left is to get rid of the white frame, (which came about when I added some canvas to that green background) but keeping the rotated image...

    and this is my first question, that has me "stumped" (if that's the word), I just haven't been able to achieve this.. I'm working with two images, one that it is just a green background, and a portrait of my daughter...first I bring the green background and then I "move" on top of the green...
