    PSG Freelance Designer Reviews

Re: Freelancer Reviews I hired Laurynnem‎ to create two simple vector banners. She completed it in several hours and was friendly and professional, making sure I was happy with the work. I would look forward to working with her in the future.

    What is a Vector?

To elaborate on the original question, a raster image (i.e. a photograph) is made up of many tiny pixels (squares). If you change the size of the image, you are stretching out those squares and distorting them, making your image jagged (this is most obvious when you scale up). A vector drawing...

Two very easy questions (grid, masks)

That did it. No clue how it got stuck that way though. Thank you!

Two very easy questions (grid, masks)

Yes, that is what happens.

Two very easy questions (grid, masks)

Well, there IS a way to enable a grid upon opening an image, because it happens to me every time! I need to figure out how to make it stop! Thank you for the imfo about turning on + off masks.

Two very easy questions (grid, masks)

I think both will have a simple answer. 1) Somehow I turned on a setting that shows a grid automatically whenever I open an image. This is driving me batty. How can I turn it off? 2) If you are working with a mask, is there any way to turn it off/hide it?

Pixel grid on close zoom -- can it be turned off?

I really hate the grid upon a super close zoom. CS2 (what I switched from) didn't have it. I find it so distracting when doing close-up work. Is there a way to turn this off? My professor didn't think so.

    Strange brush tool setting?

It happened with both a hard and soft brush for me, which probably means my cursor size was set pretty high. I'm just happy I found the answer. Thanks for your suggestions--learned some new stuff while trying them!

    Strange brush tool setting?

Ha HA!! My cursor was set to "medium" in my Mac's system prefs. WOW! Two weeks of agony solved! :)

    Strange brush tool setting?

No luck with anything. Tried resetting tool presets, updating (yes, the initial install was from a disc) and also resetting all my preferences. So...wow. I hope Adobe has good customer service. >_<

    Strange brush tool setting?

@Hawkeye -- it's brand spanking new Macbook Pro so I doubt I need to update video drivers? @iDad -- I'll wait and see if anyone else can help out, but if not, the next thing I'll do is try a tool reset and then an adobe update (again--brand new, just installed four weeks ago so probably not an...

    Strange brush tool setting?

I just installed CS5 on my laptop and the brush tool seems to be on a strange setting. I can't figure out what it is. In CS2, my brush (say, a circle) will apply color to the exact outline of the brush. For instance, if I selected a 9px brush, I would see a 9px circle brush on my...

    Whats your workstation look like?

Whoa. Is that actually your workspace or just an example? I have a desk with a 4-year old Gateway, and a DVD player hooked up to it for video editing. Just enough space on the desk for my laptop, LOL. The rest is usually quite cluttered with papers and notes. Sometimes my cat hangs out with...
