    Hi Hawkeye. I typed a line of text using the Type Along Line of Text tool. The line was created with the Pen tool, and had a few curves in it. I tried using your above advice to extend the line, but that didn't work in this case. Any suggestions? Thank you! OFC

    I agree with Rohape, but sometimes the original problem of original inexact measurements will still negatively affect the result.

    My approach is to use the guides. Heavily. View > Show Rulers. Click, hold and drag down from the top one, and you'll get a horizontal guide. You can create multiple guides. Click hold and drag right ward from the leftside ruler as well. I don't know why it doesn't work to copy and paste...

    Absolutely true. I just like shortcuts, after a while the mouse, or pen in my case, gets a bit labor intensive (Awwwww....!) Is there a way to create it? I did it in Photoshop once, but there doesn't seem to be a way to do it in ILL from scratch. Just working with what is already in the menu.
