Illustrator TactaPad -- wow very cool!

It's pretty hard to determine, from what I get from their site, how well it works with apps that are not their own. I use X1 a lot these days as well as AI, but the feedback that I've had is that Xara doesn't do well with it and that AI needs quite a bit of tooling to make it useful. I think...

    cs2 upset

I agree with Jon that most people are finding no degradation of performance, myself included, in CS2. I've read all about the work arounds (ie. disabling font preview, and closing various palettes) as well as the issues with various graphics card and/or their drivers. But the real point is...

"Face in the Sand" - new image

Looks really good. If you blur the edges of the overlay a bit, it may meld into the sand/dirt better. I'd try a contrast layer to lower the high contrast within the face.

Nice scoot Wait, though I'm a hog rider. But hey, to ride is to ride. Not a lot of folks know what a rush two-wheelin' is. [:I

    Industrial photography

That's funny stuff, Gary. Great job on the cleanup. You know, I was just thinking, this morning, how underused umbra and penumbra are in casual conversation these days. :bustagut: Anyway, like the concept of this forum. Looking forward to taking it in, and hopefully provide some input.

WARNING LRG IMG First attempt at macro

    Just incredible shots. Good to see that you're having a good time with your new toy. I'm really a bit photography-challenged (let's call it!), so it's a blast to see your results. Keep 'em coming. :}

    .psd v's .tif

It's a bit ironic as the PSD format was, in its infancy, devised to shrink file size for fully layered composite images. As PS has progressed, more information has necessarily been added to the incorporation of PSD files. The lossless compression methods of TIF has become my format of choice...

    "My" Visa Card so far

To add a little more realism, you might want to change your fonts. Try OCRA for the card number and OCRB for the name, dates, etc.

Can anyone help me with this picture?

Re: thanks... Well at least she's a cute wee rugrat! :D The healing tool is right above the clone stamp, nested in with the patch tool (and the color replacement tool in CS)

    pen tool

If you want to see where your path is going select View/Show/Target Path (Ctrl+Shift+H} or Cmd+Shift+H (Mac). Works like Corel Draw. As for the second part of your question, I'm not sure what you're saying. Maybe you could re-phrase it.

    CaptureWizPro

I recently downloaded a fully functional 30-day trial of CaptureWizPro, on the recommendation of a friend, and I am impressed. It's ideal for those who write tutorials, but I find I'm using it for a number of different things. Nice small UI, that tucks away when not in use. And for $30, it's...

    3D Dreamcatcher (update)

Really like it Maya, beautiful composition. My only criticism is the bird doesn't seem to be in motion because of the 90? angle of the dreamcatcher to the ground.
