Color overlay issue -- whites are displaying as grey (photos attached)

Your "Vampiros" text is already in white, so you don't need to be painting in any white on top of it. Paint in the red and green, and stop there. Don't paint any white. Then select color overlay or whatever blending mode works best and it should be fine

Re-Sizing an image, making it smaller & still being sharp... IS IT POSSIBLE?

see the bolded part above: you shouldn't be re-sampling the photo - this is what's causing your distortion. I assume when you say re-sample you mean that you are reducing the resolution? For example, if your camera is taking photographs at a resolution of 300dpi, then you should be keeping it...

removing backgrounds and making them transparent?

most of photoshop needs to be worked with manually. If you rely on file menu commands (edit/adjustments..) etc, then you're only seeing 25% of the program. It's why a tablet is important, so you can go in and manually draw/erase areas that you are working with. Relying on just commands means you...

that isn't what I meant. at all. anyone who wants to use photoshop is missing out if using just a mouse. You don't need two monitors, and you don't need a Cintiq. But what you DO need if you're going to use Photoshop even *marginally*, is at the very least, a tablet. Wacom sells beginner...

    Newbie Photoshop Question.

one thing that people have to learn is that with photoshop, many effects need to be manually drawn in, so artistic talent is required. don't expect this program to do everything automatically for you with menu commands, it doesn't work that way. don't be lazy and expect to go to edit/render/...

Stitch/blend multiple photos into one panoramic photo

ok i get it now. my fault. you want all 6 images pasted together side by side. it seemed that you wanted all 6 photos blended into one another horizontally with a fade/in fade/out on each edge of each photo

Stitch/blend multiple photos into one panoramic photo

are you looking for a horizontal blend as abruptly as the attached image or do you need something more gradual?

dual monitor is perfect when you're editing an image close-up. You can zoom in really close to your image and edit it, while on your other monitor you have the same image zoomed-out. Whatever you're doing on your zoomed-in monitor shows up in real-time on your zoomed-out monitor. this way...

Issues with file size and Camera RAW

yeah this makes no sense. transfer the image from the camera to your hard drive. then load the image from your hard drive into photoshop. there should be no cropping. if there is, then this is a problem that you need to figure out, because it's on your end. there is no cropping; this is a...

removing backgrounds and making them transparent?

again, where is your photo to show us what you mean???? anyhow... you need to go into the black areas and select the eraser tool, then zoom in real tight and manually erase those black areas until they become transparent. Remember this guys: when it comes to Photoshop work, a large...

and oh yeah I forgot to add, dual-monitor setup. So I draw on my Cintiq, then look up at my 24" HP monitor to see the zoomed-out updates of my artwork you need dual-monitor setup to get full use out of Photoshop. Monitors are so cheap nowadays, there's no excuse for not having two. A...

Can anyone here tell if these photos are photoshopped?

i'm not understanding this. a brand new user makes his first post by asking us if any of the photographs are photoshopped at the 1:00 minute mark... well, the link provided gives us several videos to choose from... which one are we looking at? and if you watch all of them, none of them have any...
