    Recover Digital photo's

    [shhh] .. me too ... haven't needed to recover deleted images from camera but it will happen one day :) ... and had assumed that once deleted they were gone (silly assumption really, when I think about it 'cos they would probably be deleted the same way as on computers ... just corrupt the file...

    Any idea why I get this error?

    an update ... I've tested the ram(s) ... memtest86 took about 15 minutes on each computer and no errors were found :) .... question though ... both computers were ordered with 256 Mb ram, but one of them is being 'read' as having only 224 Mb .... was I short changed or is there a problem...

    thanks ljiljana .. I already had Hatch's link .. it was his video on the pen tool that motivated me to play with the pen tool ... I had previously looked at other 'traditional' tutes on the pen tool and it always looked 'too hard' ... I reeeealy like the other link you posted .. wish I had seen...

    docilebob thanks for reply ... I'm very new to the pen tool, but I had checked 'layer switched off', background layer, unfilled layer ... been caught with that before on other stuff ... it had me lost :) Gaussian thanks ... that was it!! :righton: :} :} ... I can now play :) :D :D

    ... hmmn .. this could get confusing for WarmingTheCurb .... the reason I posted my very looonnngg version was I assumed that WarmingTheCurb wanted to 'cut a straight edge' at an angle .... when I use Gaussians and Rantin Al's method it cuts when I rotate .. or should I have something switched...

    I've been pondering on this thread since Gaussian posted his advice to bubble ..... I had always thought/believed (and this is my computer ignorance showing through) that when the computer booted that it did its own checks (hence the brief screens we see during boot up that say x amount of ram...

    Alistair ... just a thought ... in a past post you said you were updating PS7 regulary (at the time it was suggested you turn off the update feature) ... I know you said you hadn't added or changed anything but if it's still on auto update .... just thought I'd mention it as your prob is...
