3D From Thin Air: Her First Toys

Work in progress. My plan is to create a bedroom 'set' to place this in.... as an ad mockup. Comments welcome. Created from flat vector art.

    3D Steampunk Gentleman Fragrance

I like it. Not sure the font is very steampunky though. Cool 'brass goggles', tophat cap and love the name.

    3D 3D ground plane - maddening shadow!

I didn't even know that 11 was out, sure not using 10! Still on Windows7 - if it ain't broke, don't fix it! - it works just fine, and I use Chrome.

    3D 3D ground plane - maddening shadow!

That's just what I've done. The wall has a little bit of thickness, but the floor is 'paper thin', about .01 (inches?) so I could bring it up to ground plane level. I have text on the 'floor' so it had to be right. Looking much better and more logical. This should be in the manual somewhere...

    3D 3D ground plane - maddening shadow!

OMG, Eggy, I think that's it! Seeing your screenshots (thanks so much for taking the time to do that!), this makes total sense now - if it's below the ground plane, it's below ground and therefore darker. Duh. I tried a few things: brought up the wall so the bottom was AT ground plane...

    3D 3D ground plane - maddening shadow!

Yes, that's it, where your arrow is. Just tried taking the shine and reflection off the back wall to 0% - and it's still there!!!

    3D 3D ground plane - maddening shadow!

Well, yes, I have a low reflection on the back wall - this wall is the entire background, top to bottom, same wall, same texture on it - and I do want it to reflect the clock parts.

    3D 3D ground plane - maddening shadow!

On which part - the back wall? the entire image? This is an image of a sort of clock, made with several vector images (each with different opacities) made with tech brushes and assembled. An extruded wall behind with a texture.... playing with illuminated back inflation on the brushes. thanks...

    3D 3D ground plane - maddening shadow!

Not sure if this is the right thread to ask a question.... very new here... There is always a horizon line/ground plane and it's got a darker tone from the horizon line down..... and I don't want it! In Environment, have lowered the ground plane shadows to 0% and it's still there! Still there...

    3D 3D Robot Bunny

Another amazing chop. The gear detail is very cool.......I must try to get this effect. But how did you do the bunny's ears?? Are they one piece or two?? Jeez, your work is inspirational. I really need to step up my game. :banghead:

Hi, Argos, and thank you! I did see that we can put our website link but did not see those details. Also, saw that if we have a question we can upload an image... that would be a big help! I will do some hunting around here in between renders!
