    This is how i would do it, minus deleting the groups for the eyes. Other than that, I second TonyCooper's suggestion. If this is going to be a logo, you should consider how it will look at thumbnail size. Make sure it reads well enough for people to be able to tell who you are at a glance...

    Still not sure if this is what you're trying to accomplish, but I went back and played around some more (ahem..after GS Warriors game ahem GO DUBS ahem) These both use the same orange color instead of black and grey. Exaggerated effect for clarity.
