Ideal computer for design and web?

Of course it depends on what you can afford, but I suggest getting the fastest processor you can and more than 8 gb of ram. The graphics card on either of those is passable. Storage looks good and screen size is up to you. Also, this guy has a lot of info on this. I agree with almost everything...

Outlining A Layer/Item With Vector Based Image?

Was curious about this too. Here's what i found. I tried it on cs5, not sure if any of the earlier versions have this. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kmNu5EMgzig

    Using liquify on face

Nicely done. The changes are noticeable, but subtle enough to look natural. Wouldn't have known you changed something without the original.

    Help with removing writing

This is how i would do it, minus deleting the groups for the eyes. Other than that, I second TonyCooper's suggestion. If this is going to be a logo, you should consider how it will look at thumbnail size. Make sure it reads well enough for people to be able to tell who you are at a glance...

    Need help with house colors

Here you go. Word of advice, I worked at the paint department at Home Depot for a couple of years and pictures aren't much to go by when trying colors. Also, the paint will look completely different in the morning with sun light. If available, purchase color samples to paint on the walls and see...

    Flare filter question

Still not sure if this is what you're trying to accomplish, but I went back and played around some more (ahem..after GS Warriors game ahem GO DUBS ahem) These both use the same orange color instead of black and grey. Exaggerated effect for clarity.

    help with hardware

I second the tablet especially for the long work days. The pen really helps keep the wrist healthy. Also, if you are looking for a mouse, you should consider what environment she'll be working in. A wireless mouse is convenient, but prone to interference from other wireless devices (which is...

    Flare filter question

Here's a quick edit I did. Personally, i prefer the Lighting Effect method.

    Flare filter question

If understand what you are trying to do, why not use Lighting Effects set to omni or spotlight. This effect can give you a nice flare like light without the sun glare/light rings that come with lens flare. Also, you have more control over the light: New Layer > Fill with grey > change to smart...
