    Are you trying to save an animated GIF or an image dependant on transparency? To me they seem like the only two logical reasons.. also color palette maybe?>

    Which target for new window to pop up?

    You can actually use whatever you want. "_blank" is just a default option. You can use "_new", "_blahblah", whatever you like. Each window has its own ID, so you're just using that to create the ID of the target window.

    Newbie questions about retaining quality of edited image

    What's the DPI of the original image? That will have a lot to do with the quality at which you can save. TIFF's are good but their file size is massive. How are you looking to use the image after you've saved it? Online, print, etc?

    You can do that with filters or by colorizing certain sections of the leather image. Which version of Photoshop do you have?

    Yep, your best bet would be a 72 DPI PDF, and then maybe zip it up? Do you have to use an attachment? Could you instead host it online on one of the free file sharing sites like box.net?
