Change from plastic to stainless steel?

The image you posted doesn't have enough contrast in it to make a good displacement map but if you have stainless steel texture you can overlay it and use the transform tool/ warp on several layers to get the effect. Then just play with the levels of the object layer. You would need to spend a...

    Photo ReColoring, Luminosity & You

Try only using the middle slider in the levels dialog. Ramp it up to just before the max and you should keep your highlights without turning it metallic.

    Pen pressure help!

I used to use that same tablet and had similar troubles. I believe I just reinstalled the drivers and started over. Oh, and make sure that your tablet is showing up in your device manager.

Anybody up for a Challenge ?

This is a little on target and a little off but there are certainly many things from the wrong time in this one.

    Jagged edges from rotating.

Are the jagged edges showing up after you use the Image/rotate command or after you use the transform/ rotate command? If you manually rotate the image w/transform and are the slightest bit off it will have a jagged edge. Using the rotate command that shouldn't happen. I'm assuming in both cases...

    C&C on Retouching

That's a really nice job. 8)) The only change I would think about (if this is a commercial image) would be to try and clean up the one tooth that lies over (her) right front tooth but trust me, that's a lot easier said than done. I think you've done a great job already.

    Apply Gradient to Type

I gotta vote for layer style. Just click on the layer style icon at the bottom of the layers palette and go to town. Try out all of the options and settings you see there too because they can do some great things. But I have to mention that especially when dealing with a school themed image you...

Those are all really well done. You seem to have a good eye for images that lend themselves to the technique.

Digital Painting (another attempt @ photorealism)

Re: Digital Pianting (another attempt @ photorealism) Nice. I like the blurr on the inside of the cup, it makes it look like a spot focused photo.

    play with light

Nice job. My only suggestion would be to add a rim at the top of the glass to take away from the flat look. Nice colors btw.

I think I sense a disturbance in the force... But thanks a lot. I got inspired by my heros at PST. Some of the threads there are how I became aware of this place. So far I'm glad I paid attention!? ? ;)
