    Mirroring

Edit > Transform > Flip (Horizontal/Vertical). I'm fairly certain if you've highlighted a certain area it will constrain itself to where you've highlighted, but have never checked personally.

You Love It, But It Doesn't Love You

Just as well I can't stand the taste of coffee or tea, and I'm not all that keen on coke/pepsi then :)

How to increase a pictures dpi

You could try enlarging it, and then using one of the blur filters. it won't look anywhere near perfect but it's better than pixelated

    Tiled images

I'm not trying to convince anyone of anything, and I understand that it's not truly acceptable, I just felt the need to reply to your comments :) I did enjoy our debate by the way, it's not often I get to argue so in depth about something where I have such a strong view ^^

    Printing: Photoshop vs Paint

I know you can set the size of the page in photoshop when you go file > new, so if you know the height/width value of, say, an A3 piece of paper you could set the size that way, and then just drag and drop from a seperate canvas. There's probably a better way but as a work-around I've found that...

    Tiled images

Mmm, when I have learnt the shortcut keys I daresay it will save me time, and perhaps a few headaches in future, though over long years of having nothing but paint and powerpoint for graphics development I've gotten in the habbit of editing a copy. By mirror, I mean the whole image...

    Tiled images

I know the shortcut keys, and my PC isn't very powerful at all so it goes a bit quicker :) Anyway - thank you very very much :)

Centering css from photoshop in dreamweaver

I have a suggestion that will save you a lot of headache in the future. copy everything that's inbetween the style tags (so from "body {" to "height:53px;}") and paste it into notepad. then go File > Save As. Where it says "Save as type:" select "All files", and then where it asks for a name...

    Tiled images

There is a particular effect I like doing with photoshop for images with a dark background: Primary colour: dark blue, somewhere in the region of #0000d0 Secondary colour: black Filter > Render > Clouds Filter > Render > Difference Clouds Ctrl + F until a fairly even spread across the...

Problem with selectable text in pdf

If you're creating the PDF with photoshop I don't think it's possible to have selectable text. If you have Adobe PDF maker (I think that's the name - it's been a while since I installed it) it automatically places a button on your toolbar in Microsoft Word and you can click that to make a...

Layer only affecting certain other layers

Mmm, unfortunatley I'm unwilling to pay for a course as I'm primarily based in technical support/junior web development, and learning Photoshop is just for casual enjoyment. Thanks anyway though :)

    clouds

If you notice on the toolbar on the left, near the bottom of the window there are 2 squares, one slightly overlapping the other? click on the top square, and when the colour selection box comes up set it to #18323a like the tutorial suggests click on the square underneath that and set it to...

Layer only affecting certain other layers

Hmm, I'm afraid I didn't see your edit till just a few moments ago - I managed to get the effect I wanted by using a layer mask and some very careful work with the sponge tool. Cheers for the help, Mike P.S. I'm very new to Photoshop, though I am aware that the best way to learn it's full...

Layer only affecting certain other layers

I have an image where I have luminescent curvey lines (created by creating my own pre-defined brush - then applying an outer glow to them) and I then change the colour of these lines along their length by using a large brush to draw random splodges of colour on a new layer before using Gaussian...
