    Can Anyone Help

The Magic Wand Tool has a tolerance setting which can help somewhat in this situation. I played with it a bit though and really the best way is as Gaussian suggests. Break out the Pen Tool and get down and dirty. If it was my project, however, I would go to my buddies music store and take a...

Re: I need help modifying a shield to look three dimensional and crispier Like this? Open in PS and use your magic wand tool to remove the portions that you want to be transparent. Save for Web... [excited] Someone else will have to tell you how to do the other half of your question. I have...

Discrepancies between workspace colors, and saved files...pls help

I had a similar problem in PS 7 (which I still use) and was able to fix it this way. Go to Edit>Color Settings and select sRGB. Don't know if it'll work for you but it's worth a shot. Rich

Playing around with my dog (she doesn't bite)

OK, here's my version. Hue/Sat adjustment and a little color balance tweak. I also put a white layer under it and set it to Hard Light blend mode to brighten it up a bit.

    The Glass Challenge

Nice Glass Docile! :} I wish I could partcipate but when it comes to glass stuff I tend to cheat and jump into StudioMax. Yeah, it's a little quite around here. I feel a little guilty because I don't have time to dabble as much as I used to. Rich

What method would you use to remove this from this photo?

I know this doesn't answer your question but I would find some beads and retake the photo on a white background. Most methods will be very time consuming and I don't think you'll be happy with the results. I guess as I get older (I'm in pre-mid-life-mode) I've begun to value my time a little...

I would really appreciate some help..

I still use PS 7 so I don' t know if this will help you. Go to the top menu and select Image and then Mode. It sounds like Grayscale is selected. Change it to RGB color. Rich

    website hits

Big subject. My uncle does handyman work and put his .com on the side of his work van. He only gets about 40 hits a month but they are highly targeted leads. The people going to his site are looking for his kind of services. Since he did that, he has to turn away work or hire people to help...

    The Ark of the Covenant?

The proof, for me, in the power of the contents of the arc rests in whether it can improve the growth of my new garden. If it can't do that then we should all start praying to Miracle Grow because it does the trick. :D Rich

    fuzzy/blurry pictures

I also have a Sony Cybershot 3.2Mp. I find that sometimes when I first turn it on, everything in the display window is blurry. If I turn it off and turn it back on it's just fine. I don't know why. I thought I'd chime in and let you know it might be a camera issue. I've just gotten used...

    Save a super moderator

Hi Lee, Take a look here. I'm using PS 7. I meant "Color" blend mode not color "Blend" mode. Sorry for the confusion. Rich

Thanks guys. :) Looking back at it now I think a more interesting approach would have been to make the trees Fall colors. I think it would have framed the bridge a little better. With that I would also have shifted the water color a bit and allow it to reflect the Fall colors in the trees...

Here's my 5 minute attempt. Use airbrush at 100% opacity, 50% flow, with color blend mode. Rich

    Are you creative?

I'm surrounded by engineers at work all day who don't believe #1 and management beats them up for even considering #2-10. It can be very frustrating. Thanks for posting, I need the reminder. Rich

    My own site finally up!

I hate to be picky but there's something about this sentence on the front page that bugs me... "Because we regard you and you're needs as highly as we do ourselves" Maybe it's just me but it turns me off somehow. Rich
