    Newbie question.

    hey, for this, i would suggest making 4 images, one with the text at full opacity, then 60%, 30%, and then one at 0%... then put them into a gif animation genorator online. they're easy to use and compatible with the majority of sites. just search free gif animation maker in google

    rounded corners

    You need to go back to the canvas and change the background to transparent. If the background layer is locked, right click and say "Layer from background" then you can use the eraser to get rid of the background color :]
