Taking text from an image -Problem-

Just selected with the magic wand and placed on it's own layer. With careful selection you could get a better result.

Creating a globe/ball/sphere out of words

Here's a vid that will point you in the right direction. Text isn't used in this tutorial. Just put text in instead of an image. Tip: When making the circular selection that will be the globe/orb. Make it around 800 pixels in diameter. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dXQwiwZe6cc

    Dots pattern

One way of doing this is to open an image in photoshop (Any image) and make a new transparent layer. Turn off the background image so that you're just left with transparency. Note: You could also just make a blank new canvas instead of using an image. Go Edit/Preferences/Transparency &...

    In memory of.

I've taken ages with this, and I'm still not happy with it. But I've got to hit the sack soon. And I'll be safe there because of men like Horace.

    Challenge 17: Distortion & Perspective

Come on you shoppers, I'm not a backside kisser, but Paul has set the standard here. We can all learn from this example...pay close attention to how the ribs of this unfortunate animal have been given definition. We must pay attention to detail.

    Challenge 17: Distortion & Perspective

Many thanks to everyone who took part in challenge 16 Reflections, both shoppers and voters. And a special thankyou to those poor lost souls who thought my effort was worth a vote. I thought about Challenge 17 and what might be a good subject and decided on Distortion and Perspective. In...

    Work

None of the poll options fit my situation either. I started work aged 15 (5 days after my 15th birthday). I've been self employed in the UK since the age of 23. Up until the year 2000 I had never touched a keyboard, never mind about a computer! Until then I ran my own building/construction...

    Text won't print on jpeg

Unlikely I know...But check that the text colour and background colour (Layer below) aren't the same. I've made this error before, as I'm sure many others have.

Another PSG war to come but lets get this resolved

“What do you think is a reasonable freebie request?” Original poster (Example) I took hundreds of shots of my family while on holiday by the ocean, and I’m pleased with most of the shots. But in the image below the sky is just all white. I love the way my kids look in this particular pic, but...

Photoshop request if you have extra time :)

I do urge you to at least download a trial version of Photoshop, and remember Photoshop Elements is really not very expensive to buy, considering what you get for your cash. As far as the image below is concerned, I didn't spend alot of time on it. Adjusted Curves, Levels, and obviously...

What Is The Significance of Merging Layers?

Before editing any image It's a good idea to make a copy of it...and then work on the copy. No matter what happens then, you'll never lose or damage your original.
