    Right ... so this is what I am trying to do, again being able to change the small images at any given time. The images are on a transparent background (green only for viewing purposes) and for that I need a "smart object layer", right? The layer where I can click bottom right and a new window...

    I am doing exactly that. After switching to move tool, I place the pivot in the center of the large circle (shape). After I do that, the move tool is not activated. I Ctrl + Alt + Shift + T (always hold but keep clicking "T", it does not place circles on a separate layer. I wanted to post a mp4...

    I am using the Ellipse Tool (shape tool?). Its late now but I will try it tomorrow. So do I need to use the elliptical marquee tool?

    I am on PS v26.8 and trying to do the circle again according to this video I kept. Unfortunately it does not work anymore (for me?) When I click Ctrl + Alt + Shift + T, I don't get separate layers, they are like image below. Is this a version "thing" or a "me problem"?

    Cut/Delete without merging the group ...

    I want the "pink" part of the ribbon to be cut/erased(?) so that I can add as many rows as necessary, beneath one another (very close, like top 2 rows), still being able to change the colours of the ribbons. In other words, I need the ribbons to be "short" like the bottom row of your last image...

    I am trying to get the bottom row of ribbons about the size of the top row by cutting/erasing/? The layers have to stay in tact to be able to change the colours. I have tried various options but it wont let me do anything without "merging the group". What is the best way to go about this?

    That's it! A HUD in my case is this colourwheel, it can be any shape or design. If you buy my dress, in your case maybe the pants (lol), and you want ALL colours, you would buy the "fatpack" HUD. On that HUD, you can click in the "squares, circles, spaces" and the pants you are wearing turn that...

    Yes, I mean maybe the mesh clothing, these "Huds" are used for, is a "thick knit" or a "lace" material, so I have to fill the "spaces" with that texture. Example: I make a 3D mesh of a dress, instead of colouring the dress 40 times and packaging 40 dresses, it comes with said "Hud".

    Nope, not on that circle .... but I do have one that probably calls for "scientifically-accurate engineering" or at least "some serious calculations", just not sure as to how far this is for a "Math Forum" or a "PS Forum" (as usual, with replaceable smart objects). Definitely going to tackle it...

    Absolutely and yes, was much easier than "understanding the written version" for me. One more question, is the rotation point meant to be "pixel-perfectly" in the center of the circle? Because it didn't "snap" to guides (?)

    I made this with the "Elliptical Marquee Tool": Is there a possible way to make this circle with the "Ellipse Tool", creating a new layer for every ellipse?

    Well, first of all, thank you very much for your time and explanation, I can't seem to get it to work, not sure if this is right ... but that's just life after a severe stroke. Yes, you are right ... and I will probably be using it until the day I die ... but that doesn't mean my knowledge is...
