    Indeed Erik, that is another hidden gem. :) If you create another layer from the shadow, then you can create all the shadow effects you want without another 3rd party plugin...

    mr-meth -- click on the green channel and Select > All ( or ctrl+A ) then copy then paste to a new layer. Erik -- It seems this method lightens the image overall. It's more like applying a screen mode with 30-40% opacity. It sure is an interesting method though. very open to further...

    yep yep ... and if you CTRL+ Double Click in the work area, you get the "NEW" dialgo box where you can create a new document..:) ... and ALT+double click gives you "Open As.."

    sometimes you have lots of layers upon layers. if you hate scrolling up and down the "Layers palette" looking for a layer to work on or edit, right clicking on your image will reveal a lot. right click on your image when you have your "move tool" selected and you get a list of all layers...
