All this photography talk has made me post one or two of my new photos here.

Here you go!
Criticism as usual welcome!

i like the first one, probably needs a slight crop on the left hand side though. the second, not sure what it is, but it looks cool, and if you use an SLR detach the lens, reverse it, get really close to it, and take a photo with the flash up, vary the distance until you get a sharp shot. lovely shot though, there's something about it, just makes me like it.

Great shots from my POV

Definately agree about the crop. I've never actually cropped one of my images actually, I just never think about it.

Second photo is of some plant life, not quite sure what, I'm no expert but I thought it looked cool in the light so I took it!
And what is this fancy technique with reversing the lens? Would that make it almost like a wide angle lens?

Thanks for the advice!

it's one of those, it's good either way but the crop will make it better if done right. and Fair does, that's how you should roll these days! :)

Lens reversal makes the lens a Super Dooper close up lens so it gets shots like this one of frost for example:

WOW! That is very very cool! I must try that! Do you know if it works with telephotos?

should work with any lens, it'll take a few shots at varying distances, to get a sharp one, as any chance of autofocus goes out of the window, and be careful to not let light into the sensor any other way than through the lens.

It sounds very complicated, yet very interesting! I'm going to try that out tomorrow!
