Responding to unexpected demands from Mac OS X users, Adobe is currently developing a Carbonized version of Photoshop v. 2.5.
"After months of internal beta testing, we're ready to release this as a public beta" an Adobe spokesperson who asked to remain anonomyous said. "We've worked hard to preserve the "look and feel" of the original application while identifying the inevitable bugs as a result of the Carbonization project."
"Kudos to Adobe for recognizing the need for a simpler, less bulky application," OS X user Mac Bert wrote. "Who needs layers? They only make the file sizes unacceptably large and take up room on my 80 meg hard drive. "
Steve Jobs, Apple's CEO commented "At Apple we're always happy when applications are Carbonized for OS X. We look forward to working with Adobe on Illustrator 1.5."
Photoshop 2.5 for Mac OS X only will be available today only for $41 U.S.
