Here's another attempt to restore a b/w picture... ramdomly picked from google..

This is not a restoration actually, but a colorization. I like your color choices. If you want a suggestion, get a picture where you have more closeup and detail for practice, like this:



This can be a really fun process and a good way to learn tips and tricks in Photoshop.
