Can anyone help me to solve a problem I am having in my CS5?
I am creating logo, which I have made using Pen Tool to have fine shape details.
When I am applying Brush stroke to the path I have created, the brush stroke looks very pixelized and dodgy on the edges. It is quite clear on the image

I have tried different settings for resolution, but it does not seem to help much.
I thought the Pen Tool creates vector shapes and Brush is vector based as well?
This does not apply to a particular chosen brush, by the way, i have tested several of those

A problem could be the resolution of the canvas. Is the image you posted a zoomed in portion of the entire image? If you need to make something really sharp try using more than 300ppi.

If it is happening with other brushes, then it has to be a resolution problem.

Anything created in Photoshop is not vector. Pseudo - vector is more of the term.

Zooming up to it , you will see the actual jaggedness. View at normal, actual size. This will give you an accurate view of what the image looks like.

If the logo is intended to be re-sized to suit any use, create it in Illustrator or other Vector based programs.

Hi, as Dv8_fx said - use illustrator or other vector based programs for all your vector drawing...

But if you do not know how to use them - Same case as mine - Lolz... And Photoshop is the only program to create them.. then use the highest resolution possible..
Example.. for my Logo designs...
* I make large images (10inch X 10 inch) with 350 pixels/inch....
* Save it as a PNG for transparent backgrounds....
* When I need to use the logo. I use it as a 'Smart Object' and resize to the desired size on the document and then proceed with the work.

Hope this helps.
