Can anyone help me create an image like

I would like to create an image similar to the one below.

Basicly I want to wrap the number 2 with a band like the one in the image.

How is this done?

From scratch or If I use this one I need to change "boyz" to "boys" & "II" to "2"

This is more than Likely created in a 3d Moddeling application here is a quickie PNG image if anyone wants to finish it off Got to go out so Cant do it myself

As I said earlier you will be best of doing it in a 3d application.

But here is a PSD if you cant get hold of a 3d Application you can do it with photoshop extended but I rarely use the 3d Features in photoshop.

But all you need to do is add your text and possibly adapt the colours to your liking.

hope this gets you started as I dont really want to give a tutorial on cinema 4d or studio max as it is hard to say however if you have these programs I would use studio max as it is easier to achieve I am just more comfortable with cinema 4d
