Changing PDF association

I recently had to re-install PS 6 after a harddrive reformat and I find now that any PDF file that I click on (in order to view with Acrobat Reader) starts up PS and opens it there which I can't readily read it....I'm guessing upon installation I made pdf files associated with PS...how do I change file extension associations so I can view pdf files in Acrobat Reader? So far I can't find anything in the Preferences menu...
Thanks,
hg guy

hi hurdygurdyguy

if you are using windows 95/98/ME/2000 then open windows explorer, find a PDF file and do SHIFT+right click... from the menu that pops up you'll see the item "open with..." click on it and choose Acrobat Reader from the list. make sure "Always use the selected program to open this kind of file" is checked.

next time you double click on a PDF file, it'll fire up Acrobat Reader..
