Changing shape of fruit

I'm trying to alter this photo of a mango to make it cube-shaped (sort of like this) without changing the image's background too drastically. I've been doing the occasional Photoshop here and there for a little over a year now, but I have really no idea where to start with this one. Could someone point me in the right direction? How can I cube this mango?? This is for a student film I'm working on, and I'd be super hella grateful to anyone who could help me out.

Oh crud; it's not there anymore. Sheesh. Well, maybe if you google it, you'll find where someone else has it stored. O/W I can look, but that won't be till tonight (it's 10am here). I'm sorry about that. Somebody on the forum may have time to write out the steps for you.
