hi,
first of all I want to thank thekeeper to help me find the way to post a topic.
I have a problem with color change: I need to change a green t-shirt into a black one. I can change the t-shirt into different colors with hue/saturation but black.... Can anybody help me?

thanks in advance
Leen

You might try to use image/adjustment/color replacer.
Use the color picker+ to select the green (you might need to sample more than once) and move the sliders until you like what you see. You might need some minor adjustments.

In this example I've used the magnetic lasso tool to select the T-shirt. I seldom use the magnetic lasso tool, but it worked very good for this example. I then changed the green to black using the channel mixer (gives you good control over B&W) set to monochrome. The yellow text was 'painted' back in using a mask.

Just want to add that I find the create-mask-from-channel technique very useful.

Go into channels and find the channel that has the most constrast between shirt and background. Copy that channel and enhance the constrast using levels (Ctrl+L). Doing it right will give you a perfect mask.
