Scripting Copying and pasting and object on specific coordinates

I'm very very new at scripting and coding. Just starting to learn now. I want to start by trying to automate tasks I already do, like pasting one object multiple times on different coordinates to form a pattern. These are specific locations as I design socks and there are a few constraints. I have mapped all the coordinates I need to paste an object on. Where do I start with scripting this action? Does anyone have a simple script for that that I can build on?

Attached is a screenshot of part of the file with template placement spots. It's a very simple pattern.

Actually, never mind. I can do this by recording an action. Problem solved.
